The Gyeongnam Regional Cancer Center was established in March 2007 as the first in the region. Through more efficient use of medical resources, we are working to improve the quality of life through the reduction of the social, mental, and financial stresses caused by cancer. The establishment of a national cancer management system aims to promote the development of cancer research & treatment, working toward identification of a cure in response to the needs of the local community. We are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology in cancer diagnosis & therapy administered by highly-qualified medical professionals. The Gyeongnam Regional Cancer Center educates people on cancer prevention, the importance of early medical examinations, as well as cancer management and hospice options. We contribute to the improvement of cancer treatment through research on the characteristics of regional cancers and participation in the second phase of the national “Conquer Cancer” Project.
