The School enables the students to grow as a specialist of public medical health. Also the School provides them with the opportunity to form a network connecting the hospitals and the experts of health and medical care in the local community. The School welcomes those who want to improve their capabilities as a leader of public health.

The School opened a master’s degree course for an entrance quota of 20 majoring in Public Health Management and Environmental Public Health in Sep. 2009 to cultivate the experts who will play a leading role in the area of public health in the local community and make a contribution to social development. The night course takes two years and six months at the Nursing College in Chilam Campus, where the professors of the Nursing College, Medical College and Veterinary College educate and train the students.

The master’s degree holders of the School are working at hospitals, public health clinics, National Health Insurance Services, elementary, middle, and high schools, Health Environment Research Institutes, and Agricultural Technology Institutes, etc.

  • The goal of the Public Health Management major is to foster the public health specialists to take a leading role in preventing diseases and improving the health of the residents of the local community. Its curriculum consists of public health policy and system, public health management, epidemiology, health improvement, nursing, health of the infants, health of the aged, mental health, health statistics, health medical marketing, and healthy behaviors.
  • Curricula for majoring in the Environmental Public Health are the environmental and industrial health, environmental toxicology, food hygiene, environmental engineering and hygiene to cultivate the public health experts who will take a leading role in improving the quality of life of the local residents in relation to the contamination of food safety environment and the cause of its destruction, impact, and control that endanger human health and the ecological system.
