Korean Language & Culture Institute

The Korean Language & Culture Institute has been established to preserve and spread the Korean language and its culture, and also to help students, the civil society, public organizations, etc. to use Korean language correctly and easily.

To lead the upright culture of Korean language, Korean Language & Culture Institute conducts the following duties:

1. 01The institute instructs Korean language norms, polite language uses, writing, and public document making for local residents, GNU students & personnel, and public officials, so that they enhance their Korean language ability.
2. 02By consulting about questions and difficulties in living with the Korean language, the institute helps the local residents and students maintain their right uses of the Korean language.
3. 03The institute conducts studies on Korean language norms, language etiquette, Korean sentences, improvements in Korean language ability, related policies, content on Korean language textbooks, and more. Results of those studies can be utilized for educational and counselling activities by the institute.
4. 04The institute conducts surveys on local languages and how people use them, making efforts to preserve them.
5. 05The institute raises interests in the Korean language among students and local residents, and also holds events to induce them to use Korean language correctly.
