As the first European Union-related research lat in the Gyeongnam-do, Gyeongsang National University’s EU Institute is established to activate major EU exchange programs with the local governments and private organizations, cultural exchange and as well as economic exchange between Gyeongnam-do area and EU area, while the FTA agreement between Korea and EU is almost close, with members of 60 professors who’s currently performing EU-related research.
EU, the world’s largest single economy area, has the largest trade with Korea after China, and especially, since EU has very close relationship with industry and economy of Gyeongnam-do, it is significantly meaningful that EU Institute is established at Gyeongsang National University.
